REMOVAL
1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

(a) Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the air cleaner from the air cleaner hose. |
(b) Loosen the 2 bolts and remove the air cleaner with the grommet.
5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose. |
(b) Disconnect the vacuum hose.
(c) Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner hose.
6. REMOVE INLET RADIATOR HOSE
7. DISCONNECT OUTLET RADIATOR HOSE
8. REMOVE FAN SHROUD (w/ Trailer Towing System)
9. REMOVE FAN SHROUD (w/o Trailer Towing System)
10. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS PIPE HOSE (w/ Trailer Towing System)
11. DISCONNECT NO. 3 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE
12. DISCONNECT NO. 2 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE
13. SEPARATE AIR PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
14. DISCONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
15. REMOVE NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
|
(a) Disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose from the water by-pass joint and water inlet housing. |
16. REMOVE INLET WATER HOUSING
|
(a) Remove the 3 bolts and inlet water housing and disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose from the inlet water housing. |
(b) Remove the gasket from the water pump.
17. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY
|
(a) Using SST, hold the water pump pulley. SST: 09960-10010 09962-01000 09963-01000 |
(b) Remove the 4 bolts and water pump pulley.
18. REMOVE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY
|
(a) Remove the 8 bolts, water pump and gasket. |
